Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This policy explains what data is processed when you visit lanshareapp.com and when you use the LANShare app. LANShare is an independent open-source project maintained by ArtMMS.

Summary

  • The LANShare app has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your screen is sent directly between computers on your network.
  • This website uses Cloudflare for hosting and anonymous statistics, and Google AdSense to show ads. Google may use cookies for that.
  • We don’t sell personal data.

The website

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t track you across websites.

Advertising

This site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure their performance, and ads may be personalized based on your visits to this and other websites. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage personalized ads in My Ad Center. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you’ll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Language preference

When you pick a language, the site saves your choice in your browser’s local storage so it doesn’t ask again. This information stays on your device.

Downloads come directly from GitHub. GitHub, Ko-fi and other linked websites follow their own privacy policies — see, for example, GitHub’s Privacy Statement.

The LANShare app

  • No account and no LANShare servers. The app doesn’t send your data to us.
  • Your stream goes directly from the host to the viewers on your local or virtual network (such as Radmin VPN).
  • Your name, profile picture and settings are saved only on your computer, in %APPDATA%\LANShare. Your name and picture are shown to the people in the rooms you join.
  • Updates: if update checking is enabled, the app contacts GitHub to see whether a new version is available. GitHub may receive your IP address when that happens.

Children

This website and LANShare are not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example, under Brazil’s LGPD or the European Union’s GDPR — you may have the right to access or delete your personal data. Since we don’t store personal data ourselves, requests about ads should be sent to Google, and requests about hosting to Cloudflare. For any other question, contact us.
